Calling All Mini Makers and Creative Kids!
Do you love to make, build, paint, or craft? Join us for the 2026 Mini Makers Market at the 5th Annual Whoopie Pie Festival in Downtown Rutland!
This special event is a chance for young artists and entrepreneurs, alongside their grown-up Business Managers, to showcase and sell their handmade creations. Keep 100% of your profits, celebrate your creativity, and help fill our community with color, talent, and joy!

When is it?
Saturday, September 12th | 12:00–2:00PM
Held during the 5th Annual Whoopie Pie Festival in downtown Rutland.
Market setup is from 11-11:45am.
Who Can Participate?
All creative kids ages 14 and under!
Mini Makers must be accompanied by their adult “Business Manager” at all times.
What Can You Sell?
Almost anything handmade or creative!
Some ideas: Jewelry, friendship bracelets, wall art, slime, artwork, 3D prints, crafts, bookmarks, small gifts, etc. If you make it, you can sell it!
***No food or drink may be sold at this Market.
How much is it to participate?
It’s FREE! No registration cost, no percentage requirement. Mini Makers keep 100% of their profits!
What to Bring:
For the event, Mini Makers must provide their own 6 to 8 foot folding table (and chairs if desired). Tents will be provided; Mini Makers will be paired up to share a tent with another Mini Maker.
Optional: Bring a plastic storage bin with a lid to store items at Wonderfeet before/after the market.
Drop-Off & Storage:
Want to store your items on Merchants Row before or after the event?
Items may be stored at Wonderfeet in advance (must be in a labeled plastic bin with lid)
Drop off crafts and tables/booth supplies on Thursday, Sept 10 or Friday, Sept 11 between 10am and 3:30pm.
After the Mini Makers Market, feel free to store your table, chairs, and any remaining goodies at Wonderfeet and go enjoy the rest of what Whoopie Pie Fest has to offer!
Post-event pickup: Sunday, Sept 13th between 10:00AM–3:30PM.

Pi Day Celebration

Come dive into the world of circles and math with hands-on fun!
WIC will be hosting a Pi (3.14) and food-themed activity.
Rutland Free Library will have books and a Pi-themed activity to explore.

Are you a stealthy sniper, a rapid-fire trooper, or a defensive mastermind? Take aim in this thrilling indoor Nerf battle for kids and adults!

Battle 1 (Kids ages 4-6) from 4-4:30pm | Battle 2 (Kids ages 7-13) from 5-6pm
Prepare for a high-energy, all-out Nerf battle in the Wonderfeet Kids' Museum! This is an after-hours special event where kids and adults team up (or battle each other!) to conquer the exhibit floor. We'll set up barricades for an epic, family-friendly competition, and provide Nerf guns and darts for fairness and safety. Bring your secret Nerf strategy to rule the museum battlefield!
What You Need to Know:
Parents must be present at the event.
Eye protection is mandatory and will be provided.
Event Schedule:
Battle 1 starts at 4pm for kids 4-6 years old. Parents and their children should arrive at 3:45pm.
Battle 2 starts at 5pm for kids 7 -13 years old. Parents and their children should arrive at 4:45pm.
